A YACHT had to be rescued by a Harwich lifeboat after it ran aground.
The 27ft yacht, Fiddler, which had a man and woman onboard, got stuck near the entrance to Harwich Harbour at around 9.15pm yesterday. Harwich RNLI inshore and all weather lifeboats were launched. The all weather lifeboat took the woman onboard and towed the yacht into Harwich, where they were met by Walton Coastguard.
