Young performers are being sought to star in a traditional family pantomime in Bury St Edmunds this Christmas.

The town’s Theatre Royal is casting the young chorus for its annual pantomime Dick Whittington which will run for six weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.

The theatre says the young performers will need to be strong dancers, singers and actors as well as being prepared to attend all rehearsals if offered a place in the company.

The rehearsal period will be from Sunday, November 5 to Thursday, November 30, leading up to the performances between Friday, December 1 and Sunday, January 14.

Registration, which is required in advance, is now open and auditions will take place on Sunday, September 24, from 10am-6pm at the theatre.
