STOKE City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen may still make Denmark’s World Cup squad as his dislocated elbow did not require surgery.
Sorensen suffered the injury during the Potters’ 7-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday putting his participation in South Africa in doubt but the former Aston Villa shot-stopper managed to get his elbow back in place.
Potters manager Tony Pulis told club website stokecityfc.com: “If he had needed an operation, he’d have struggled to make the World Cup, but there is some encouraging news in that it was put back without the need for that.”
