Norwich City have parted company with manager Chris Hughton and backroom staff Colin Calderwood and Paul Trollope.

Former Canaries winger Neil Adams, 48 has moved from his current role as the club’s Under-18s coach to take charge of the team, who lost 1-0 at home to West Brom on Saturday.

Hughton guided City to an 11th-place finish in the Premier League last season but has endured a recent run of four defeats in the last six Premier League games and has overseen six consecutive away league defeats.

Canaries chief executive David McNally said: “Neil is a progressive and successful coach who has served this Club as a player and a member of our coaching staff in exemplary fashion over two decades. With our fantastic fans getting behind Neil and the team in the games ahead we will greatly improve our chances of a successful end to the current campaign.”

The club will hold a press conference tomorrow.
