NORWICH City’s end to the season has been thrown into fresh turmoil after star striker Grant Holt handed in a transfer request.
The 17-goal forward has reportedly asked for a move away from Carrow Road just days after he was mooted as a possible England forward in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2012 squad.
Holt, 31, helped Norwich to 12th in the Premier League but their impressive season was rocked somewhat by rumours linking manager Paul Lambert with the vacant Aston Villa and then Liverpool posts.
Now their player of the year has apparently handed in a transfer request, which has allegedly been turned down by the Canaries.
