Ipswich Town's Elkan Baggott started for Indonesia in their 1-1 draw against the Philippines, winning his 19th international cap at senior level.

The centre-back has been involved in AFC World Cup qualifying action this month, playing the full 90 minutes of his side's 5-1 defeat to Iraq last week, which was the opening match of the group stages.

Shin Tae-yong's men looked to bounce back in Manila, but they fell 1-0 down thanks to a goal from Patrick Reichelt.

An injury to centre-back Sandy Walsh could've derailed them, but they soon improved, with Saddil Ramdani scoring a deserved equaliser in the 70th minute.

The Philippines pushed hard for a late winner while Indonesia tried to hit on the counter, but the match ended level, giving the visitors their first point. They still sit bottom of the group on goal difference, however, with Iraq and Vietnam leading the way.

Indonesia now turn their attentions to the Asian Cup, where they've been drawn in Group D alongside Iraq, Japan and Vietnam. The competition will start in January 2024, with World Cup qualifying set to resume in March.
