Former Ipswich Town forward Ben Folami has joined Adelaide United from A-League rivals Melbourne Victory on a four-year contract.
The 25-year-old left the Blues to join Victory and return to his native Australia in the summer of 2021, having initially been on loan.
Folami has since made over 100 appearances for the Melbourne club, winning the 2021 Australia Cup and playing a key role in the club’s run to last season’s A-League Grand Final.
He now joins Carl Veart's side after he was deemed surplus requirements by the new Victory Coach, who is former Town loanee Patrick Kisnorbo, despite having a year still to run on his contract.
On signing for his new club, Folami said: “I am excited to be starting a new chapter in my career with Adelaide United.
“I have a lot to offer and believe that this club provides the ideal environment for me to continue developing.
“The direction the club is taking is something I am keen to be a part of, and I look forward to contributing to the team’s success.”
The Australian scored once in seven games during his spell at Portman Road and will link-up with former loanee Ryan Tunnicliffe at the Coopers Stadium.
