ADRIANO's agent believes Inter Milan fans have seen the last of the Brazil international.

The striker recently played for his country in a World Cup qualifier and announced shortly after the game that he was taking a leave of absence and not rejoining the three-time defending champions and Serie A leaders Inter for the final stretch of the campaign.

Inter are reportedly set to terminate the 27-year-old's contract, which runs until June 2010.

“I don't think Adriano will return again to Italy,” said Gilmar Rinaldi, Adriano's agent, who met with Inter executives last week and is now back in Brazil.

“I spoke with Inter executives (Rinaldo) Ghelfi and (Marco) Branca regarding what is happening to Adriano here (in Brazil) and they have told me what they want to do.

“At the end of next week, I will return to Italy to resolve the situation.”

Adriano played most of last season on loan at Sao Paulo with Inter's consent after the player acknowledged he was going through a difficult time in his personal life.

He went back to Inter last summer and has struck three goals in 12 league appearances this season.
