The new Championship season is almost upon us and anticipation is growing around the country as fans up and down the land dare to dream.

Ipswich Town begin their campaign with a tough-looking home clash with Birmingham City on Saturday, Mick McCarthy’s men desperate for a flying start to build optimism and hopefully set themselves up for a finish better than last term’s disappointing 16th place.

To try and change the fortunes on the pitch, McCarthy has brought in six new signings, including Manchester City winger Bersant Celina and Rangers striker Joe Garner, while a number of players have departed.

Celina and Garner will be tasked with adding goals and creativity to a frontline that was desperately short of it last season, while Town fans will be keen to see how Emyr Huws and Tom Adeyemi combine in midfield once they return to fitness.

Off the pitch, Town have introduced a number of fan-friendly initiatives to try and build the relationship between the club and the supporters.

They have added a new fans’ panel, cut matchday prices and partnered up with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, to have the charity’s logo emblazoned on the back of the first-team shirts this season, among other things.

With all this in mind, we want to know how you are feeling about the Blues, on and off the pitch, and have published an interactive poll to get your views across.
