CLIFF Akurang struck twice as Braintree Town ensured their promotion party went off with a bang after beating Welling United 3-1.
The in-form striker was a big difference as the hosts overcame the play-off hopefuls before Cressing Road was sent into jubilation with the presentation of the Blue Square Bet South title.
Akurang bagged a brace before the break and although Welling pulled a goal back, Jai Reason’s penalty clinched the points – and started the party.
