STANWAY Rovers have received interest from League Two side Aldershot Town for midfielder Angelo Harrop.

The 22-year-old has been invited to attend a week's trial at the club starting on Monday, 16 February 2009 with view to sealing a full-time contract with the club should he impress.

Stanway Rovers joint manager Paul Symes said: “I'm pleased for Angelo - he definitely has the quality to step up to professional football. There is no way we can stand in the way of a young man who has such high ambitions and we hope he impresses at the trial next week.”

Harrop re-signed for Stanway at the beginning of this season following two successful spells in America and Romania. He was recently subject to interest from fellow Ridgeons League Premier Division side Harwich & Parkeston but turned down a big deal to stay at Stanway.
