Allum resigns as Debenham manager

ROB Allum has resigned as manager of Debenham LC ahead of their FA Vase Second Qualifying Round tie at home to Team Bury.

Allum, who took over in the summer after Mel Aldis quit following the club’s relegation to Ridgeons League Division One, has cited growing work commitments as the reason behind his departure.

The former Framlingham Town manager made a couple of high-profile summer signings, bringing in goalkeeper Liam Jones from Felixstowe & Walton United and winger Jack Severy from Hadleigh United.

Allum leaves with Debenham in eighth place in Division One, after taking nine ponts from their opening seven matches.

Dale Vince has been put in charge of the team for tomorrow’s match.
