Andre Dozzell and Idris El Mizouni were on target as Ipswich Town’s Under 23s beat Watford 2-0 this afternoon.
The young Blues moved to the top of the table with the victory at Vicarage Road, to Dozzell and El Mizouni’s goals.
Dozzell turned Jack Lankester’s pass home on 23 minutes as the young midfielder finished off a neat team move, before El Mizouni added the second on 70 minutes as he turned the ball home well after Lankester’s shot was saved.
Dozzell has not featured for the first team this season, with manager Paul Hurst admitting he and his team are managing the midfielder’s fitness having also considered sending him out on loan.
Ipswich: Wright, Crowe, Webber, Ndaba, Clements, Dozzell, Bishop, McLoughlin, Roberts, Lankester, Folami. Subs: Egan, El Mizouni, McGavin, Cotter, K Brown.
