Anti-racism programme kicks-off

SUFFOLK FA kicked-off their programme to support anti-racism awareness in the county at Whitton United's LB Group Suffolk Premier Cup tie against Lowestoft Town earlier this month.

SUFFOLK FA kicked-off their programme to support anti-racism awareness in the county at Whitton United's LB Group Suffolk Premier Cup tie against Lowestoft Town earlier this month.

Members of the County FA staff were on hand to distribute information about initiative with James Payne, football administration manager, saying: “The feedback received at the ground was extremely positive and pleasing.”

Suffolk FA are supporting a number of events in October including a coaching workshops for five-11-year-old boys and girls aimed at supporting this increased awareness.

Suffolk FA football development officer Chris Walsh added: “The activities around the county not only develop the skills of players, but also provide an education of this important topic.”

One of the workshops takes place at Needham Market FC on Thursday, October 30, from 10am to 3pm and another at Cornard Sports Centre the following day from 9am to 1pm.
