Ipswich Towns Under 18s beat Fulham 2-1 at Playford Road this afternoon, with Armando Dobra securing victory with a stunning strike.
The young Blues’ first goal came following a free-flowing attacking move after winning possession in their own half, before a ball into the box forced an own goal.
The second came following an excellent cross-field ball which Dobra, who is entering the second year of his scholarship with the club, controlled superbly before firing into the back of the Fulham net.
Meanwhile, a young Town XI will play a friendly against AFC Sudbury at King’s Marsh on Thursday July 19.
The game will likely see the Blues field a mixture of Under 23 and Under 18 players, with the Under 23s also in action the previous evening at Lowestoft Town.
