Horse Trials
SHARON Hunt of Bury St Edmunds finished sixth in the three-day horse trials at Badminton.
Sharon, riding her own and her parent's horse Tankers Town, beat both national and international eventing stars, including William Fox-Pitt and Andrew Nicholson.
Sharon has ridden Tankers Town, now 12, since buying him as a four-year-old and was delighted at the result. She said: “Badminton is our best-ever result at this level and I was thrilled with Tankers Town and our finishing position”.
Claire Elbrow, of Blue Lizard Marketing, which is based in Cheveley and who support Sharon and her staff with equestrian and leisure clothing, were also trading at the event for the first time.
Claire commented: “It was fantastic to be at the event, not only promoting our new ranges of equestrian garments, but also to be involved with Sharon's success.
“Every best wish for the future months, which I am sure will be pretty exciting.”
