East Division Two North - Bedford Town II 0 Ipswich East Suffolk 7

IES men made the long trip to league newcomers Bedford Town II and made hay against a poor side. IES opened the scoring through David Taylor within two minutes and Scott Cole doubled the lead five minutes later following good work from Tingey's dribbling.

The home team put forward little in attack on a bouncy pitch, with the midfield and defence wiping up all they had to offer. The beginning of the second half saw a bit more response from Bedford but soon IES had their third through Cole who drilled a penalty corner through the keeper's legs.

Taylor grabbed his brace with a tap in shortly afterwards and Jon Tingey got in on the action after deflecting a fierce Dave Faffam shot past the keeper. Tingey added his second after good work from Luke Pawsey, batting the ball with a sledgehammer-like blow from a mid-air position. Cole completed the rout to make it 7-0 to IES who face local rivals Ipswich III at Copleston this Saturday.
