THE local derby between Chelmsford City and Braintree Town has been rearranged for a Monday night match under the lights.

Chelmsford’s Melbourne Stadium will host the cracking local derby between the two promotion contenders in the Blue Square Bet South.

The match, which was due to be played before Christmas but was postponed due to a frozen pitch, will now take place on Monday, February 28 (7.45pm kick off).

Meanwhile, the Clarets’ two games against Hampton & Richmond Borough have been switched to help accommodate the Beavers’ lack of recent home action. Chelmsford will now travel to the Beveree on Tuesday, January 25 (7.45pm ko) meaning the clash on the final day of the season will be City’s home game.

Chelmsford have also been drawn away at Grays Athletic in the quarter-final of the Essex Senior Cup if they are victorious in their home game against Southend United on Wednesday, January 5 (7.30pm ko).
