The Blues fell behind to a Gary Madine effort but Joe Garner was on hand to rescue an equaliser.
The Blues beat Leeds 1-0 last time out, thanks to a strike from Bersant Celina, and they now travel to the Macron Stadium to face a Bolton side whoch has found some form since a nightmare start.
Though the Trotters sit 21st in the Championship, Phil Parkinson’s men have picked up significantly in recent weeks and, if the season had started at the beginning of October, their form would be good enough to have them in play-off contention.
Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich currently sit four points off the top six and know these are games they need to win if they are to maintain any kind of promotion challenge.
