Ipswich Town are in pre-season action this afternoon as they travel to Braintree for a 3pm kick-off.
The game at Cressing Road is Paul Hurst’s first official game in charge of the Blues, following a behind-closed-door victory over Kilmarnock during their pre-season training camp in Spain.
Braintree are back in the National League having won promotion last season, having come close to making the Football League in 2015/16 before losing in the play-offs under Danny and Nicky Cowley.
This afternoon’s game will be the first opportunity for Ipswich supporters to see new signings Jordan Roberts and Trevoh Chalobah in action.
Winger Roberts has joined from Crawley Town while Chalobah is on loan for the season from Chelsea.
