The famous FA Cup trophy will be at BRANTHAM ATHLETIC next weekend, to coincide with the Blue Imps’ historic second qualifying round tie against Eastbourne Borough (on Saturday, September 22).

This is the first time that Brantham have reached this stage of the competition, and to mark the occasion, the Cup will be on display in the clubhouse at Brantham Leisure Centre from 9.30am to 8pm next Saturday.

Fans will therefore be able to come along and have their photograph taken beside the prestigious trophy.

Meanwhile, this weekend NEEDHAM MARKET have a home match in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Central, when they entertain Rushall Olympic at Bloomfields.

Richard Wilkins’ men have accumulated eight points from their first six matches, with two wins, two draws and two defeats, to sit in ninth spot. Rushall are on six points.

In Bostik North, BURY TOWN enjoy home advantage against Great Wakering Rovers. The Ram Meadow club have accrued four points from their first four games and are in 15th spot, level on points with today’s visitors.

MILDENHALL TOWN are still searching for their first league success, after drawing three of their first four fixtures. The Suffolk side host Barking, who also sit on three points after a win and three defeats.

AFC SUDBURY are on the road, facing a stern test away at Romford (ground-share at East Thurrock’s Rookery Hill), who have started well with seven points from four games.

Tomorrow also sees FA Vase second qualifying round action for several Suffolk clubs.

FRAMLINGHAM TOWN entertain Swaffham at Badingham Road, while HADLEIGH UNITED are at Little Oakley.

NEWMARKET TOWN are at home to Ely City, as are WALSHAM LE WILLOWS against visiting Deeping Rangers.

WOODBRIDGE TOWN entertain Pinchbeck United, HAVERHILL BOROUGH play host to WHITTON UNITED and KIRKLEY & PAKEFIELD are at Gorleston.

BRANTHAM ATHLETIC, unbeaten in 19 matches, are also in FA Vase action at home to Takeley.
