Britannia ruled at the Suffolk Sportshall Games last week, the Ipswich primary retaining the title they won last year.

The chase for top position went to the final two races, and in the end it was Britannia (322 points) that pipped Westley Middle School by a very narrow margin of eight points,

This year is proving to be a successful one already for Britannia - the girls’ under-11s table tennis team qualifying for a regional event, in Grantham, at the end of this month.

Britannia qualified for the Sportshall Games final at South Lee School’s new sports facility, courtesy of their second-placed finish in the Ipswich event, behind Gorseland.
