BRAINTREE Town have been dealt a blow, ahead of their home clash with Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, after on-loan striker Britt Assombalonga was recalled by parent club, Watford.

Assombalonga, 19, scored five goals in his first month’s stint at the Amlin Stadium and Hornets boss Sean Dyche has decided to give the youngster a go at Vicarage Road.

“We’ve deemed it fit for Britt to be back involved here now and to continue his development within our club,” said Dyche.

“He’s had some great external influences over the past few months, a taste of what it means to be playing competitively in senior football on a regular basis.”
