Bury Town boss Ben Chenery delighted with the team spirit inside the Blues’ camp

Bury Town boss, Ben Chenery, has highlighted the togetherness of his players, in the face of adversity, on the eve of tomorrow night’s home match against lowly Norwich United in the Bostik North (7.45pm).
Despite a wafer-thin squad, due to a glut of injuries and suspensions, the Blues have enjoyed a terrific last month. They are up to sixth in the table, and have a glamorous FA Trophy tie at big spenders Billiercay Town to look forward to this Saturday.
Goals from Tommy Robinson (36mins) and Cemal Ramadan (56) were enough to secure a 2-1 win at Brentwood Town last weekend, extending Bury’s recent run to just one defeat in five league matches.
Tomorrow evening they take on a Norwich United side who are second-from-bottom, with just two league wins all season, although they did pick up a point with a 1-1 draw against Barking on Saturday.
“We have really been up against it, player availability-wise, due to injuries and suspensions, and so I even had to name myself on the bench on Saturday,” explained manager Chenery.

“These are difficult times, but I think that has only served to bring the players closer together. They have been carrying out my instructions, and have all been accountable.
“I thought we played some excellent passing football, especially in the first half at Brentwood, and Cemal (Ramadan) scored a real striker’s goal in the second half. Cemal has been doing well since he’s come back to the club. It didn’t quite work out for him first time around, but he’s more mature now and I always knew that he would score goals.

“Brentwood got a goal back (84th minute), but we stood firm and our young back four were very solid.
“Norwich United are struggling a bit, but they will be scrapping for their lives down there. We have done ever so well away from home, but we have found it more difficult at home, perhaps because other teams sit back and we find them difficult to break down. But we go into the game full of confidence.”
Kyran Clements and Ryan Jolland will both return after suspension tomorrow, although injuries continue to rule out the likes of Ollie Hughes, Darcy De’Ath and Ricky Spriggs.
Elsewhere. Mildenhall Town are away at Soham Town Rangers. Both sides are in lower mid-table.
