Carlton Park II 1 Ipswich East Suffolk III 1

Carlton Park started the game with some fine attacking hockey and put continuous pressure on an outstanding IES goalie who seemed to have all the angles covered.

Park, playing some of their best hockey, made attack after attack and a number of superb chances went begging. Eventually Tina Neal managed to beat the IES goalie and Carlton Park took a well deserved lead.

After the break IES battled back and broke through the Carlton Park defence to equalise. Although Carlton Park dominated the game, IES were quick to counter and there were times when Carlton Park could have been caught but the defence held well.

Towards the end of the game Carlton Park were well on top again and were unlucky not to take all the points. Becky Peck was Carlton Park player of the match despite having to leave the pitch five minutes before time having taken a nasty hit on the kneecap.
