BORDEAUX striker Marouane Chamakh believes a move to the Premier League may no longer be on the cards.
The Moroccan forward has been linked With Sunderland, West-Ham and Arsenal, however a deal has yet to be agreed.
Bordeaux straight away discarded the idea of a transfer to Sunderland, claiming they were not happy to do business with the north-east club.
With no agreement made with any of the clubs and the transfer window drawing to a close, it seems likely the player will have to settle for another season in Ligue 1.
Chamakh said: “I hear the chairman has said that nothing will be settled before 31st August, and he was 99 per cent sure about that…"
He also added: "I understood the club's behaviour when they turned down Sunderland, but I have been surprised that no agreement has been reached with Arsenal - even though they made a small offer.”
It is understood that a much improved offer from Arsenal is required if the club wish to sign the player.
