Chelmsford City have appointed Mark Hawkes as the club’s new first-team manager and Steve Smith as assistant manager.

The duo join from Ryman North League club, Heybridge Swifts who are currently sitting in second place in their division.
City are currently third bottom in Conference South, having won just four league games this season.
