CHELMSFORD City have a mountain to climb in the second leg of their Blue Square South play-off semi-final at Hampton & Richmond Borough on Saturday.
The Essex lost trail 3-1 following Tuesday's disappointing home leg, but head coach Glenn Pennyfather believes the Clarets can still make next Thursday's final against either Eastleigh or Hayes & Yeading United.
He said: “We're going to have to do it the hard way, but we've seen some big turnarounds in some big games and we know we have the quality to fight back.
“It's vital the supporters get right behind the lads and suck the ball into their net because, and I've said this before, their backing makes such a big difference. There was a hell of a lot of belief at training on Thursday.”
City will have to contend with the hole left in the centre of midfield left by Dave Rainford, who was dismissed late in Tuesday's game and now begins an instant three-match ban.
