CHELMSFORD City have trimmed their squad this week with the release of three players to make room for the recent additions to their squad.

Forwards Bertie Brayley and James Baker, as well as full-back Greg Oates, depart Melbourne following the recent arrivals of Erkan Okay from Histon, Lawrie Dudfield from Cork City and Sam Sloma from Grays Athleti.

Brayley, a particular favourite with the City supporters for his 110 per cent displays, netted 11 times this season in 33 appearances, while fellow striker James Baker made five fleeting appearances in a short spell with City.

Oates is recognised as a quality right-back whose last 12 months with the side have been blighted with an injury he has now nearly recovered from.
