Speaking of the news, Mansell Wallace, Chairman of the Board, said: “I would like to thank Peter for his significant financial and personal contribution to the success of Chelmsford City FC during his two-year tenure as a Director and Chairman of the Board and I'm delighted to make him an Honorary Life Vice President.

“I am also pleased that we have reached an agreement that enables us both to move forward and put this dispute firmly behind us.”

Webb added: “I am pleased that this matter has now been drawn to a close. I am now satisfied with the Board's explanations concerning the running of the club and would like to wish Mansell and everyone associated with the club further success in their quest to achieve promotion from the Blue Square South.”
