Chris Brammer shares his player ratings from Ipswich Town’s 2-1 defeat at QPR, in the Championship, on Saturday.

33. BARTOSZ BIALKOWSKI 6

Polish stopper made a couple of decent saves, but was well beaten for Freeman’s strike.

16. CALLUM CONNOLLY 5

Stuck to his task against Jamie Mackie but was given tough ride against experienced and niggly forward, who beat defender to ball to score opener.

2. DOMINIC IORFA 7

Header almost created an equaliser for Adeyemi. Made a couple of crucial last-ditch tackles.

12. JORDAN SPENCE 7

Goes about his business with the minimum of fuss. Good in the air

3. JONAS KNUDSEN 6

Tried to get forward when he could but left exposed on left number of times as Pawel Wzsolek dominated the right-hand side.

18. GRANT WARD 5

Quiet game on the right, set-piece delivery was not up to standard.

8. COLE SKUSE 5

Tough afternoon for experienced campaigner and part of a midfield that was second-best.

21. FLYNN DOWNES 5

Nothing came off for youngster, who failed to have same sort of impact as he has done in previous games.

9. MARTYN WAGHORN 5

Offered little as an attacking threat. Substituted midway through second half.

10. DAVID McGOLDRICK 6

Decision-making let him down at times. Tried to get things going for Ipswich, at times, from his own half.

14. JOE GARNER 5

Dominated in the air by QPR’s centre-backs. Needs service.

20. FREDDIE SEARS 5

Almost got on the end of a late McGoldrick centre, but Onuoha was sharper to the ball.

15 TOM ADEYEMI 6

Showed signs of promise after his introduction and almost scored superb equaliser with late volley.

11. BERSANT CELINA 7

Given just 14 minutes to showcase his talent, scoring a wonder-goal and supplying an inch-perfect ball to Connolly whose subsequent attempt on goal was quickly blocked down by the Rs rearguard.
