Division One

Christchurch II 0 Ipswich IV 5

Ipswich produced a consistent display of crisp passing and shooting to complete a clear victory.

Millie McWhirter scored twice and Charlotte Christie made it three before halftime as Christchurch worked hard to try and stifle the visitors.

Clare Good put in an impressive display with some determined tackling alongside Sue Williamson and Anne-Marie Byrne at the back, but it was Ipswich's ball retention which created the chances.

In the second half Ipswich continued to push forward and hit the woodwork after 38 minutes before Steph Allen's shot went in off the post for the fourth. Christchurch did provide some flashes of inspiration with Tash Last putting in a pass just beyond Jenny Clark's run into the D, but Millie McWhirter completed her hat trick on an immediate counter.

With seconds to go Hayley Tydeman put in one of her trademark runs and her pass found Julie Spice in front of goal, but the shot was saved and the clean sheet preserved.
