GRUNDISBURGH will be looking for a major boost when they take on in-form Woodbridge Town in the delayed final of the 2009/10 Churchman Cup next Wednesday.
The SIL side has a chance to beat opposition from the Ridgeons League at Woodbridge’s own ground with a7.45pm kick-off.
Bad weather last season caused a back log of fixtures and meant a delay in the final being played.
The Churchman Cup along with the Peel and Ross-Taylor Cups, are trophies originally competed for in the now defunct Woodbridge and District League.
The competitions have been run in their present format since 1967 and the committee is looking for someone to take over the secretary’s role starting from next season.
Those interested in taking this honorary position should contact Ivan Rattle on 01473 622009, or via email at ivanrattle@aol.com
