IPSWICH Town's Billy Clarke netted a penalty but dislocated an elbow in last night's reserve-team encounter against Portmouth, at Havant & Waterlooville's West Leigh Park.
Clarke was taken to Portsmouth's Queen Alexandra Hospital, and may need an operation. He is likely to be ruled out for at least six weeks.
After dominating for long periods, Town were undermined by poor defending, finally losing 4-3 against a strong Pompey line up.
Town's other marksmen were Liam Craig and Jaime Peters, while Owen Garvan impressed.
