Colchester United boss, John McGreal, has declared tomorrow afternoon’s clash with leaders Luton as “a great game for the fans.”
The U’s last four home games of the season are all against promotion-chasing sides, starting with table-toppers Luton, who are only ahead of Accrington Stanley on goal difference, having played two games more.
“Luton have been a top-three side all season, and they always bring a great following with them,” explained McGreal.
“There should be a good atmosphere, generated by our fans as well. It’s a great game for the fans.”

A crowd of 5,000-plus is expected for tomorrow’s clash, which begins with the U’s in a distant 11th spot, eight points adrift of the play-offs.
The U’s will have to repeat their home win over Luton from last season, if they want to maintain any interest in a the top-seven finish, while the Hatters need the three points to sustain their push for the League Two title.
