Colchester United midfielder, Ben Stevenson, admitted that the U’s were playing “without fear” after recording a third win on the trot, away at Forest Green Rovers in the Cotswolds yesterday afternoon.
The U’s are up to 10th in the League Two table, and within four points of the play-off zone, after Stevenson drilled home a 47th minute winner in a 2-1 win at The New Lawn.
Drey Wright had broken the deadlock inside the first minute, after just 19 seconds, for the Essex visitors, and although Reuben Reid tucked home a 37th minute equaliser from the penalty spot, Wolves loanee Stevenson then obliged with his 20-yard winner, 85 seconds into the second half.
“The biggest thing is that we are playing without fear,” insisted Stevenson.

“Confidence is flowing through the whole team, and we are beginning to get some lucky breaks now.
“It’s a good time to be getting some luck, and a great time to have some momentum. We want to keep it going now.”
