Colchester United have signed former Bristol City and Cardiff City goalkeeper Elliot Parish on a one-year deal.
Parish has been on trial with the U’s over the summer and has done enough to earn a deal with the Essex club, having been involved in all four of their pre-season games.
Parish started his career at Aston Villa and also spent time on-loan at Lincoln City in 2011.
The ex-Blackpool man has been sharing goalkeeping duties with Chris Lewington with Sam Walker currently sidelined as he recovers from a knee injury.
