Football: Ipswich Wanderers are holding a Wanderers Weekend this weekend.On Saturday there will be a “double header” of football. The first a memorial match for David 'Flash' Jay, with the second being a pre-season match against Ridgeons League Premier Division Debenham LC.

Football: Ipswich Wanderers are holding a Wanderers Weekend this weekend.

On Saturday there will be a “double header” of football. The first a memorial match for David 'Flash' Jay, with the second being a pre-season match against Ridgeons League Premier Division Debenham LC.

Admission is �3 for adults with accompanied under 14s free. All gate profits will go to East Anglian Children's Hospices.

On Sunday the club presents a day of fun and enjoyment, starting with a car boot sale which begins at 7.30 am.

At 10am there will be a programme fair with major sellers from all over the region setting out their wares. There will be some rare and sought after items as well as the more affordable.

Immediately following the programme fair will be a sports and memorabilia auction, with the inimitable Bob Shelley taking charge of the gavel. The auction includes a signed Cristiano Ronaldo print.

Running parallel with the programme fair will be a fun day where the club hopes that the local community can come and have fun in the sun.

There will be stalls; Town 102 will have their Mega slide in attendance for the young and young at heart. There will be raffles, tombolas, majorettes and a 'beat the goalie' competition, to name but a few of the attractions.

On top of all of this there is also a licensed bar and a Real Ale Beer Tent, supplied by St. Jude's Brewery.

The Fun day will run from Noon until 4 pm and will be MC'd by ICRFM, our local community radio station.

Admission is �1 donation for adults with children free. All proceeds from the day will go to the club fund to build a new changing facility.
