Copdock planning to make it a special day for Suffolk's visit

COPDOCK & Old Ipswichian Cricket Club are planning to make Suffolk's first appearance at the ground for six years a special day.
Suffolk play Lincolnshire at Copdock on Sunday, April 22 in their opening MCCA Trophy group game of the season, start 11am.
Hosts Copdock, newly-promoted to the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League this season, are determined to make the most of the occasion and attract as many spectators as possible to their Old London Road ground on the day.
Martin Taylor, the club’s development manager, said: “In recent years we have invested heavily in the infrastructure of the club, and put in countless hours of hard work on the ground to ensure we can provide the very best playing surface and facilities to both our members and the wider community.
“Being awarded a fixture of this status is, in our opinion, deserved recognition of everything we have achieved.”
In a bid to boost the attendance Copdock have laid on the following facilities and attractions:
The ECB Cricket Factory will be on site, manned by qualified coaches, giving youngsters the opportunity to have a go and see what it feels like to play cricket and test their skills.
Lunchtime entertainment will be laid on with four under-9 teams playing their own mini matches.
Fifty boundary-side car parking spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
Bar, barbecue, cakes, rolls etc will be available all day.
Hospitality packages are available for six-ten spectators at £20 per head in a three-sided marquee to include tea and coffee, a buffet lunch, afternoon tea and table service for the bar.
There will be free entry to the ground for pedestrians along with a free of charge draw ticket to win a signed Suffolk shirt.
