COLCHESTER United hotshot Jamie Cureton is understood to be on the verge of signing for Norwich City after the Canaries sold Robert Earnshaw to Derby County for £3.5m.
Cureton topped the Championship goal chart last season with 23 league goals and is looking to return to his old Carrow Road club.
The U's have already lost Cureton's strike partner at Layer Road with 18-goal Chris Iwelumo going to Charlton on a free transfer and a third striker, Richard Garcia is tipped to join Hull City.
