Ipswich will travel north in good heart after a terrific weekend, with two victories at Plymouth and Berwick under their belts.

And tonight they welcome Dakota North back, after the young Aussie missed the weekend clashes after breaking a toe against Berwick seven days ago.

“My toe is still sore and so is my shoulder, as I landed on that, but I want to give it a go,” North said.

“It as great for the boys to win over the weekend and I hope we can keep it going.”

North has had an unsettled month in June, with a run of poor scores and controversial exclusions. It has annoyed him, but not knocked his confidence.

“Just about everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong this month,” he said.

“I’ve had falls, exclusions and yet the month before I was almost top of the averages.

“No.5 is a tough position to ride as you are outside their top men alot. I’m not the best gater, but I’ve just got to get on with it. Everyone at Ipswich has been great to me, John, Chris and Pete and you don’t become a poor rider overnight, so I’m fine.”

Redcar will prove a tough test for the Witches tonight, although the Bears will hope new signing Michal Rajkowski settles in straight away, while former Witch Carl Wilkinson drops to reserve for the Teeside side.
