FIRST-TEAM coach Stuart Reavell has taken over as interim manager at Debenham LC, after Dale Vince quit his post as manager.

Vince announced he was standing down from his position in the wake of the side’s 5-0 defeat at Long Melford in Division One of the Thurlow Nunn League on Saturday.

Vince told club chairman Stephen Anderson and vice-chairman Kevin Snell he felt that he had taken the club as far as he can and had decided to step down.

A statement on the club’s website said: “Obviously the chairman and vice-chairman expressed their disappointment at the news but accepted the situation and gave Dale the club’s very best wishes for the future and our thanks for everything that he has done in his time as player, assistant manager and manager.

“In the interim first-team coach Stuart Reavell will be taking care of the first team duties and has a very positive “Upward and Onwards” attitude that should see the club through another difficult period until we get the manager’s post settled.”
