Mick McCarthy hopes that leading scorer, Daryl Murphy, will be fit to return for tomorrow night’s league game at Cardiff City.

Murphy (Achilles), Luke Hyam (hamstring/hip) and Luke Chambers (ill) all missed out on Saturday, for the 1-1 home draw against Blackburn Rovers.

“I’m not a doctor, so I don’t know whether Luke (Chambers) will be back,” explained McCarthy.

“Daryl tells me that he will train on Monday, so there is every chance that he will play. But Luke (Hyam) will not be fit.”

Town are unbeaten in their last eight games, with four wins and four draws, while Cardiff beat high-flying Nottingham Forest 2-1 at home on Saturday.
