Former Suffolk schoolboy Josh Davey has been among the runs and wickets for Scotland in the Tri-Nation Tournament this week.
Davey, who is now on the books of Middlesex, returned figures of 7-1-41-3 and then scored an undefeated 50 from 58 balls in Scotland’s five-wicket win against Ireland at The Grange on Tuesday.
He then claimed the wicket of leading batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan in his 9-1-45-1 and second top-scored with 17 in Scotland’s 183-run reverse to Sri Lanka at the same venue on Wednesday.
Twenty-year-old Davey, who used to attend Culford School, played for Bury St Edmunds in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League before being offered a contract by Middlesex.
