POLICE quizzed Derby keeper Stephen Bywater after his side were beaten 2-1 by Ipswich Town.

Rams boss Billy Davies was with his player as members from both Suffolk and Derbyshire police spoke to the keeper in relation to an incident in the immediate aftermath of his sending off along with Alex Bruce after 28 minutes of the match at Portman Road.

The duo were sent off after putting their heads together (butting rams style) and then clashed as they left the pitch before being separated by stewards and teammates.

Danny Haynes snatched his seventh goal of the season, all after coming off the bench, to give the Blues victory from the penalty spot after being brought down by former Town loanee Jay McEveley.

Francis Jeffers had equalised for Ipswich after skipper Matt Oakley had given Derby a ninth minute lead.
