SUFFOLK women went to Norfolk and played their last game of this season knowing that a win would get them up to Skegness to play for the National title.

The Donald Steward team were six points in front of Norfolk, but it was not to be as Suffolk lost this game 134 shots to 137 and picked up seven points to Norfolk's 15, meaning Norfolk finished on 96 points and Suffolk on 94.

The Silver Jubilee Vase team also played against Norfolk, the team three points behind Norfolk. Again this was a very exiting finish. On the 20th end, Suffolk were eight shots behind but on the 25th end they were six shots in front to win by 127 shots to 121 and 15 points to seven. Suffolk, therefore, finished on 108 points to Norfolk's 103. Suffolk will now play Nottinghamshire on Saturday, August 18 at Skegness.
