RIDGEONS League, Premier Division Leiston will have five new faces in their squad when they play Ipswich Town at Victory Road tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).
Leiston manager, former Ipswich midfielder Jason Dozzell, has signed three players from his former club Ipswich Wanderers - with goalkeeper Jaimie Stannard, defender Mark Goldfinch and midfielder Marc Lowe signing one-year deals.
Striker Darren Harper, who scored 17 goals in 29 games for Leiston St Margarets last season, has moved up from the SIL to the Ridgeons League, while this week defender Pip Boyland signed a one-year contract following his release from AFC Sudbury.
Stuart Boardley, Chris Dennett and Darren Moyes have departed since the end of last season while experienced striker Stewart Roach looks to be sidelined for many months after rupturing an Achilles at the end of last season.
Leiston, who will be looking to build on their fifth-place league finish last season, have former Ipswich trainees Blair Hammond, Liam Manning and Lee McGlone in their squad while Gerard Nash is a coach with the Blues.
Leiston squad: Stannard, Saker, Ryland, Boyland, Donald George (captain), Goldfinch, Nash, Lowe, Stanley, Manning, Jennings, Trotter, Danny George, Hammond, Harper and McGlone.
