LOWESTOFT Town and Needham Market are both through to the last eight of the FA Vase after dramatic ties.

Needham needed a late strike from substitute teenager Jonathan Sparkes to see them past Dereham by two goals to one, while Lowestoft played out a stunning 4-3 victory over Hungerford.

The Trawlerboys from Lowestoft were 2-0 and 3-1 down. But Hungerford had two men sent off before Russell Stock scored a last-minute equaliser to take the tie into extra-time.

Stock completed his hat-trick in extra-time and there was even time for Darren Cockerill to miss a penalty as Lowestoft went through.

Needham now entertain Chalfont St Peter and Lowestoft entertain Bideford in the last eight of the Vase. Those ties will be played on February 28.
