EARLY favourites Russia have been drawn alongside the Dominican Republic and Korea for the FIBA Olympic qualifying tournament which will decide the final three teams heading to London this summer.
The qualifiers will be held in Venezuela and will see Greece take on Jordan and Puerto Rico in Group A, while Lithuania, Nigeria and Venezuela will compete in Group B.
Group D contains Angola, Macedonia and New Zealand and the two finalists and the third-placed team will earn a berth at the Olympics, alongside Great Britain, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, France, China, Australia and Tunisia, who have already qualified.
The Olympic tournament will be held between July 2-8.
The draw for the women’s qualifying tournament which will be held in Turkey, will take place in Ankara on February 15.
