Blueharts 2 Harleston 6

HARLESTON travelled to Hitchin to face a Blueharts struggling to find form in the league. Harleston as in previous games came out of the blocks flying, stringing together early passes and switching play well. Harleston took a deserved lead after Neil 'Thierry Henry' Toulson ghosted through the bemused Blueharts defence to leave a gaping hole at the top of the D where Andy Hipwell found Carl Sitch who slapped the ball into the bottom corner of the goal. Harleston found them selves two goals up as Andy Hipwell continued his scoring run with a drag flicked short corner. Harleston as in previous weeks lost momentum and concended when Stuart Leate was unfortunate to turn the ball into his own net with a finish any attacker would have been proud off. Harleston managed to hang to their lead with some excellent defending from Andy Bedwell and Tom Sumner, with Richard Gill clearing the ball off the line at a short corner.

Again at the start of the second half Harleston were playing some very attractive hockey opening up the Blueharts defence. Harleston were able to extend their lead through another short corner which Carl Sitch turned in after the original shot from Leigh Sitch was saved. Harleston gave themselves even more breathing space when Neil Toulson took a bobbling ball from Andy Hipwell ahead of the keeper to calmly slot home. Blueharts were allowed back into the game after a dubious tackle led to them with time and space in the D to slot home past the advancing Iain Martin.

With Blueharts again reduced to 10 men Harleston continued to push forward and found a 5th after good work down the left between Sam Moore and Chris Barber, Chris was able to slot the ball home from a tight angle as the Blueharts keeper advanced out, scoring his first 1st team league goal. Harleston were not finished yet and found time to add a 6th as Richard Gill smashed tha ball in with a volley after the ball came up off the keeper at a short corner.
